Product Description

Vacuum Glass is made according to the principle of vacuum flask, which seals the circumference of two pieces of flat glass and keeps the space between them as 0.1-0.3mm with tiny props. Vacuumize the space to make the pressure reach 10-4Pa. Due to interior vacuum, the conduction and convection of glass nearly does not exist, thus it has superb function on thermal insulation, soundproof, free of condensation and thin etc. It is suitable for solar BIPV back.

Industrial Applications

Applications Overview
Architecture: Thin, lightweight, safe, thermal and sound insulation. Ideal for doors, windows, curtain walls, and skylights.
Home Appliances: Energy savings and condensation free. Perfect for freezers, wine cabinets, and display cases.
BIPV: Thermal insulation and sloped installation for solar photovoltaic buildings.
Agriculture: Modern greenhouse farming with excellent thermal insulation and optical transparency.
Transportation: Soundproofing and condensation free performance for automobiles, high-speed rail, and aircraft.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the main benefit of vacuum glass over standard insulated glass?
Vacuum glass eliminates conduction and convection by creating a high-vacuum internal space, providing significantly better thermal insulation and soundproofing in a much thinner profile.
Can vacuum glass be customized for specific sizes?
Yes, vacuum glass can be deep-processed and custom-made into various units, including tempered or laminated compounds, with a maximum specification of 2440*1830mm.
Is vacuum glass suitable for extreme temperatures?
Absolutely. Its superb thermal insulation makes it perfect for both extreme cold (preventing heat loss) and hot climates, as well as specialized applications like freezers and wine cabinets.
How does it help with condensation?
Because of its high thermal resistance, the inner surface of the glass remains closer to room temperature, effectively preventing condensation even in high-humidity or high-temperature-differential environments.
What are the primary applications for BIPV?
In Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), vacuum glass serves as an ideal back layer, providing the necessary thermal insulation for solar buildings while allowing for sloped installations.
What is the typical thickness of the vacuum layer?
The vacuum space between the two pieces of flat glass is typically maintained between 0.1mm and 0.3mm using tiny support props.
